GMP – Meditation That Moves You

The meditation class is an evening of meditation,
self-exploration and self-realization.

The Gourasana Meditation Practice (GMP) is an energetic, guided meditation that will help you to open your heart, connect to spirit within, calm your being, and think with more clarity and focus about areas of your life that are important to you.

Use this meditation practice to deepen your spiritual connection, awaken your consciousness, find the inner strength and clarity to achieve your spiritual and material goals, and allow for connection to the Source of Unconditional Love.

It will help you:

  • Expand your awareness
  • Release stress and negativity through prayerful movement and emotional opening
  • Connect deeply to Divine Presence within
  • Support desirable change
  • Rejuvenate your soul and energize your being

No previous meditation experience is required. You will be guided through this active meditation, which includes music and movement, leading to a depth of calm.

There are four parts to the GMP
Open – Calm – Think – Right Action

Open

The goal is to turn within and connect to both your internal world, and to a Divine force that is greater than yourself; call it Spirit, God’s Love, Truth, or whatever is meaningful to you. As you go within, you become aware of your thoughts, senses and emotions. You are encouraged to open up whatever feels closed or blocked inside, or where you are holding back from truly expressing what lies within your heart & soul.

Opening and releasing those inner blocks and stifled emotions supports you to connect to the Source of Love within. During this part of the meditation music is used to help evoke and support your feelings in a sense of inward movement. You can start your meditation by closing your eyes, turning your focus within and connecting to the reason you want to meditate. Then follow the inner pull and direction and go with what happens naturally.

Calm

Once emotions have been felt and released from a depth, a state of calmness follows naturally. This is a time to sit, directing your thoughts, senses and emotions to quieten down as you surrender to a state of deep inner calm.

Think

Once you have reached a depth of openness and calm, it becomes possible to think more clearly and deeply, and open up to accessing a higher intelligence. Then from this calmer place, your thinking becomes more productive in finding solutions to life’s many challenges. Your focus can be anything that is important to you: relationships, material matters, your spiritual growth, etc. Thinking from a calm and focused state allows you to more readily receive insights and make clearer decisions.

Right Action

Then, you intentionally use the insights you gain in meditation to take positive action in your life. This is when the fruits of meditation come alive and are applied in very real ways to support you in living a more passionate and fulfilling life.
